Workshop Description

Learn new tips and techniques to complete your job correctly, safely, on time and on budget. Participants will receive a new workbook – great for reference once on the field. By attending this workshop you will be better able to:

  • Analyze how agencies and contractors see the inspector’s role
  • Identify how project management tools are used to prioritize, sequence and schedule tasks
  • List various methods to communicate with residents, businesses, and the public
  • Describe the general requirements for environmental management on a public works project site
  • Develop a project schedule using Critical Path Methods

Speaker

Mario Maciel, MBA, PMP, CCM, LEED AP, CPII – Mr. Maciel has 33 years of experience in construction, including civil, structural and environmental projects. For private and agency clients, he has managed projects from conception through permitting and design, to construction and into operation and maintenance. He is certified by the Corps of Engineers in Construction Quality Management and by the Project Management Institute as a Project Management Professional (PMP), and through the Construction Management Association of America as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM). His experience includes work as an Inspector, Construction Supervisor, Superintendent, and a Senior Project Manager on domestic and international projects. Also, he has served as the Vice President of Construction and Engineering for a multi-billion dollar firm.
