Chapter Scholarships
Washington Chapter scholarships are available in two categories:
- For Chapter members to attend the International Public Works Congress & Exposition and Chapter Conferences
- For full-time students to attend college
Information on the scholarships for Washington Chapter members is available in the
Washington Chapter APWA Scholarship Policy for Conferences, and for full-time students the information and application forms.
The Chapter is now offering two scholarships in the amount of $6,000 each to be awarded to full-time Washington students entering his/her junior or senior year this fall term in programs that benefit the field of public works.
The Washington Chapter has also established a $10,000 annual
Jack Pittis Memorial Scholarship to be presented to one individual for higher education purposes who is interested in pursuing a career in the public works field.
How to Apply
Download the appropriate application form (see
Scholarship Forms directly below). Fill it out completely and attach it to an email to
Tom Skillings. Only electronic applications will be accepted in 2013. Applications for the 2013-14 school year will be due January 31, 2013.
Jack Pittis Memorial Scholarship Fund Silent Auction
The Scholarship Committee hosts the Jack Pittis Memorial Scholarship Fund Silent Auction at each conference. Vendors are encouraged to participate in this exciting event that will not only help promote their business, but also insure the success of the Scholarship Program.
